The deal includes the release of all Israeli detainees—civilians and soldiers, alive or deceased—from various periods in exchange for a number of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. This phased agreement aims not only at a permanent ceasefire but also at the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the lifting of the blockade, and significant reconstruction efforts.
